We are currently looking for a Senior Account Manager to develop strategy and deliver seamless marketing campaigns for our globally recognised clients.
As a Senior Account Manager for a global end-to-end Marketing Agency, you will be developing strategy and delivering seamless marketing campaigns for our globally recognised clients.
As the SAM you will work with senior team members on multiple pieces of activity to develop strategy, taking responsibility for seamless campaign delivery whilst supporting junior members of the team. You will be responsible for the commercial aspects of the relationship working on one of Indicia Worldwide’s biggest accounts so will have experience of working very closely with and motivating more junior Client Services team members on specific projects and their own personal development.
You will be competent in expressing the whole Indicia Worldwide proposition and will work with your AD and the senior Client Services management on client development activities. You will have responsibility for accuracy, quality, timeliness and profitability of multiple campaigns and projects by managing the briefing, scheduling and delivery process on behalf of the client.
General
Commercials (income, profitability, cash flow, and negotiation):
Take the lead on managing and directing smaller accounts (up to £300k GP)
Manage internal forecasting and taking responsibility for the commercial aspect of the client relationship ensuring targets are achieved
Actively manage more complex documentation (SOW, specifications) and gain financial commitment from client
Understand how to build up item costs for a proposal and justify these costs to the client
Understand what drives company profitability and ensure that you monitor the profitability of your client projects
Negotiate timings with the client and agree scope of work for campaign requirements and medium to large projects, as well as ongoing BAU requirements
Provide early warning of circumstances that will potentially impact the profitability of your clients’ projects
Identify opportunities to increase account profitability
Responsible for ensuring that all administrative account requirements are met – in particular ensuring the production of accurate and timely financial forecasts, reconciliation reports, quotes, schedules and invoices
Team Responsibilities
Manage conflicting demands on your time and your team’s time proactively; escalating conflicts and concerns as appropriate
Forward plan resource to ensure that potential bottlenecks are foreseen and addressed
Monitor wellbeing of direct reports ensuring their responsibility is aligned with ability
Take the lead on CS initiatives assigned to you
Motivate junior Client Services team members to ensure that delivery is accurate, timely and profitable
Client Responsibilities
Supporting GAD, AD and Planning in developing campaign strategy
Writing and approving analytics, planning, creative and overall campaign briefs to a high standard
Take responsibility for building strong relationships with your clients through clear and frequent communication to agree deliverables and manage expectations
Presenting campaign plans, creative & data strategies to clients (alongside other colleagues as appropriate)
Proactive day-to-day management of the Client account ensuring smooth running of individual campaigns to agreed timings, budgets and targets
Following of internal ways of working processes and proactively working with others to develop continues improvement
Client Development and New Business
Understanding the client’s industry sector, their market position and company objectives and be able to articulate to others
Understanding the consumers, products, and channels of the clients’ business and looking for opportunities to develop
Identifying client requirements and developing client proposals with senior Client Services team members
Understanding and being able to express the whole Indicia customer engagement proposition to clients
Being knowledgeable in the full range of our services across Insight, Technology, Creative and Digital
Providing input into planning and other delivery teams to explain proposals/developments to clients
Understanding of campaign results and how they influence future contact strategies – being able to communicate these with clients.
Graduate level
Digital, Direct and/or Social Marketing experience (3-5 years) – either Client or Agency ideally within a Client Services / Account Management Team / Role
Demonstrable experience of direct marketing, eCRM, digital, creative and database marketing
The ability to juggle multiple projects ensuring delivery on time/ budget and exceeding client expectations
Promotes and develops teamwork through focus on continually improving ways of working and mentoring junior individuals
Demonstrate an understanding of client profitability and commercial awareness
PC skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
