Goodman Fielder Food Service identified an opportunity to target café customers with a campaign aimed at growing basket sales across their bacon, bread, butter and cheese categories. Our challenge was to create an activation guaranteed to cut through, attract more café customers and increase sales – without relying on pricing promotions.
With Indicia Worldwide at the helm, Goodman Fielder Food Service departed from their regular pricing promotions to launch a campaign celebrating bacon, café life and Kiwi culture in an appetizingly engaging way.
Tapping into the insight that we humans tend to eat with our eyes and imagination long before we actually taste anything, our ANZ Creative Services Studio crafted POS materials guaranteed to entice the senses. Participating cafés were given a POS pack which included everything they needed to launch the Bacon Buttys campaign in-store. The result was a visual treat that stirred instant cravings and demand for bacon buttys amongst café customers.
Taking the Bacon Buttys campaign online, we created a social media strategy which encouraged customers to post their Insta-worthy buttys using #BestBaconButtysNZ and tag their favourite café.
