In a category where high-quality visuals are key, how can a beauty brand preserve its aesthetic values while staying true to its sustainability practice?
To help L’Oréal comply with its social, environmental and ethical standards, Indicia Worldwide proposed transforming its Garnier LC Serum Booster POS in Indonesia from acrylic to a more sustainable material.
Initially, our proposal to use paper board was met with a concern that it may not achieve the sheen and aesthetic finish of a plastic material. However, as experts in sustainability sourcing and value engineering, Indicia Worldwide were able to prove that a paper board solution, if developed the right way, can be just as visually pleasing as acrylic.
In addition to preserving its high-quality aesthetic, our recommendation helped reduce the use of plastic in Garnier’s POS - transforming it into a paper board material that is recyclable, does not use electricity, is easy to assemble and lighter to transport.
