Our brand building digital campaign, featuring a 1970s smash hit tune, has got a bit of awards buzz…
We’re delighted to reveal that we’ve got a nod at the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards. Our campaign for Dacia, which combined digital strategy with foot-tapping creative, has been nominated in the ‘Best Brand Building Campaign – SME’ category!
Our Director of Agency Matt Wright says he’s delighted the CIM has recognised the agency for this piece of work. “Our campaign solved two major challenges for Dacia,” he says. “Firstly, UK consumers were unfamiliar with the brand – many didn’t even know how to pronounce the name.
“Secondly, with such a value proposition, the products were perceived as too much of a compromise in terms of quality. Through our work we’ve helped Dacia address these challenges.”
The creative execution showcased our ability to come up with fresh ideas for a brand, and then pick up run with a creative concept across channels.
“With a cheeky twist on KC & The Sunshine Band’s smash hit ‘That’s The Way (I Like It)’, we had a perfect platform to solve Dacia’s challenges,” says Darren Mower, Creative Director. “It’s an upbeat, disco funk-themed celebration of Dacia’s success as Europe’s fastest selling car brand and I’m chuffed that the work has been recognised in this way.”
Ed Preston, Head of Marketing Communications at Dacia, says the campaign fully deserves its nomination. “We’ve worked with the Indicia and KMMS team for some time now, and with Dacia Way they really flexed their creative muscles,” he says. “The scale of the production was great and we’re really happy with the outcome. Fingers crossed we get a good result at the awards night!”
